DOES THE MOON SHED ANY LIGHT OF ITS OWN?

No, the moon has no light and no warmth of its own. It is a cold, dead globe and without the beaming sun it would be totally dark. But the sun shines first on one side, then on the other side. Some of this golden sunlight reflects back to the earth. And during the lunar month we watch the lunar daylight creep across the side of the moon that faces the earth.
